I got a bit bored and decided to try some lighting set-ups & different flash/gel positions and such. Most of it turned out to be "product" shots, and I guess that is not a bad thing.

Spooky barn/woods

I ran to an area close to my apartment that has an old barn. The property is owned by the Peoria Park District. The barn itself is boarded up, and "off limits". I did not go in, as that is illegal...

Anyway, I took a few of the barn, and then played with some high ISO shots of flowers. Yep, that is about all.

Bullets & Pills

This is how I go from being sick, to getting better.

No pictures, no photography. Only passion.

I dare anyone here to show me a more perfect example of a car. A Veyron does not compare. A Ferrari Enzo, not close. Not even a Koenigsegg will ever compare to this machine. The McLaren is the one car that I would sell my soul to have.

It took a little over a decade for another car to have a higher top speed. That car was the Bugatti Veyron. The Bug, as I will call it, needed over a thousand horsepower, all wheel drive, 16 cylinders, and four turbos to beat the F1. The McLaren on the other hand had no turbos, 12 cylinders, and only 627 horsepower driving the rear wheels. It also had no power steering, or power brakes, or any sort of pansy ass driver aids. Pretty much all supercars since the F1 have been "controlled" with active yaw control, traction control, etc.

Anyway, this IS the greatest car ever made. To further my point, here is a nice video. Please note the down shifts @ 3:20.... That honestly makes me have goose-bumps.

Bums, cops, and rust

Well, today I made my way to some abandoned structures. I got there, shot my subjects, and then started to leave. On my way out I ran into a gaggle of vagrants. I spoke to one for a few minutes, and then left. On the way to my car, I ran into a police officer. I was informed that I was trespassing, and that was about it...

Anyway, the buildings were filled with a ton of trash and 80's era porn from the bums, and they were all one step from falling down. I have no clue what the hell they were used for in their prime, but they have gone to rust (the buildings, not the bums or porn).

Every time I drive to Peoria, or back to Canton, I go past a set of stairs that are just kind of built into the side of a hill. I figured that it led to a walking path or something, but I was wrong. The stairs lead up the hill to another set of stairs. Those stairs in turn, lead to nothing. It is kinda neat, but at the same time a disappointment. Oh well.

A nice Ferrari/Shell commercial.

Most should know that I am a Ferrari freak. On top of that, most know I love Formula 1 racing. When you combine the two, and add in Shell Oil, you get this!

And for your own good; turn the volume way the hell up.

Black & Whites

I went back, yet again... I will not say too much other than that I think the pictures had to be in black and white. Brian, you missed out on some eerie fun.

More from the abandoned plant... I ventured into one of the buildings tonight and took a couple of shots. I forgot to bring my slave flashes and flashlight, so I did not spend too much time there. I have no idea of the layout of the plant, and would rather not fall through a weak floor or missing grate. I will be going back and going through some more of the buildings before too long.
