This is the first upload of photos. Now, keep in mind that I don't like to shoot the entire plane - for the most part. I am intrigued and awed by the details of the plane. The small things, to me, tell a larger picture (most of the time). Anyway, onward we go.
Frankfurt Airport, Germany. Twas not a bad plane to fly in. However, I did find myself wanting to jump out of it every few minutes... I have been ruined with skydiving.
The following photos are of the restoration hangar. Keep in mind that these plane either fly, or are being restored to fly. The craftsmanship of the volunteers is staggering. Top notch doesn't even begin to describe it.
Tricky little Nazis and their last ditch efforts...
An example of the restoration crew's work detail.
It was a sobering moment when I saw this lump of steel. It is a piece of the World Trade center.
And we now come to my Jesus. This is the only Blackbird (SR-71A) to exist outside of the United States.
More to follow.
